View Full Version : I want to Brick my PSP

I bought a PSP from an online site. It is refurbished and has 3.11 FW. With the recent price drop, I can purchase a brand new 2.71 FW PSP for about the same price.
The return policy states that a functioning item is subject to a 25% restocking fee. I want to brick the PSP to put it into a non-working state to not be subject to that fee.

Any ideas?

Try running the 3.03 downgrader and see if it messes up the flash0

Start the new 3.30FW update with the battery cover open and the second it starts take the battery out. Thats what I did and now I have a new 3.03FW PSP ready for downgrading. All I need now is the unpatched version of gta liberty city stories, any ideas where I can get it....

I'd guess that Blockbuster would be your best chance...
Don't think you'd find it on the shelf at Best Buy.
Also try those GameStop type places and look for a used copy. I sure that they will let you fire it up in your PSP before you buy it to check version info or whatever...

you don’t need to charge it to 75% just put the charger in and then start the update holding L and triangle :-)

Bought a new one at Wal-Mart with 2.71 and a ta082 mobo.
Downgraded and upgraded to 3.40 OE-A and I am living the sweet life.

If you don't need my help, please don't read this!!

You can just simply download the easy installer!!
And it's only 18 mb!!
Which version do you want?
You can e-mail me at:dennis96411@yahoo.com.cn

Wish I can help!!

Way to revive an old thread dude!! Sometimes easy installers are a bad thing. At least you know what you are doing when you do it yourself

Why is it bad?:confused1:
Well if you don't want it then that's ok,you can go buy a bigger memory card,I have a 1G,1 512MB,and 1 32MB.
You're is probably 32mb from the detail you gaved us.

Yes, but the point still remains- all of this was almost 2 months ago- I'm sure he's acquired a bigger memstick by now.

Plus the easy installers are unsafe- they can easily be brickers if you aren't careful with where you download them from.
