doesnt hurt.. personally i like lan.sh format where its a point system. And you can buy names / fonts/ colors.

Cool. But, what is Karma, as far as forums go?

It basically gives ya a way to "say thanks" for help , or what ever. Like at lan.sh you get points per day of membership, and those points allow you to buy forum goodies , like cool user details, and colors (your username) etc.

It also provides a system to credit developers , app makers , forum mods , and just common users with good input.

Like you wouldnt give points for people asking for a 3.30 downgrader.

You would give points for things that are good...
It allows nubbies to know who the forum "staff" are. By staff not meaning mods. meaning users who contribute , and should be trusted.

the green icon next to posts tells you that. Once you get 50 rep points it will increase to 2 green bars, then 150 will net you 3 green bars, and so on.

no only users can change things... and its generally pretty well thought out . for instance you cant spam on guy with rep.

its a bad idea of letting people see who -rep'd you because your just going to -rep back and start fights.

yeah I can do this.

How come theres a limit on how much rep you can give someone at any one time.

So you don't favour some one. Other wise, someone could get 1000 karma in like 20 mins.

I suppose thats a good point but like could the limit not be something like every second person you give karma to the person before them is feesible to get it from you again.

2 WEEKS!!! Whats wrong with one hour. I don't give karma to people a lot only to those that I think deserve it and it would be nice to be able to give it to them more than once if they help me more than once.

I know people could do that but I trust people not t odo that and if we find that anyone has been doing that they will be awarded with a ban.:smile:

Yes I've found that too. I just got rep yesterday from someone yet my rep didnt increase
