Home brew games and music on the move with your DS!

With Games ‘n’ Music, you can put your Nintendo DS or DS Lite at the centre of your digital lifestyle. You can use it to launch home brew games written for the DS and readily available on the internet, listen to your happening sounds with the device’s integrated MP3 player or even watch videos. And you don’t need to modify your console to use it…

Games ‘n’ Music comes with a 128MB Micro SD card for you to store your games and data, and if that’s not enough, just slip in a new card and expand its capacity to up to 2GB. It’s really easy to use too. Just fit the Micro SD card into the USB adapter (supplied), plug it into your computer and drag and drop your files onto the card. It’s that easy!

Games ‘n’ Music contains everything you need straight out of the box. It even comes bundled with a 25-game CD, offering some of the best games the DS home brew scene has to offer, as well as a video conversion program for your PC (Windows XP or later required) to convert your movies and video clips to a format you can play back with Games ‘n’ Music. It’s the ultimate in digital entertainment!

To be honest that's REALLY cool, a nice cheap homebrew solution for the DS, cool... Although I couldn't STAND to not have GBA support, love the GBA too much.

Ah, I had no idea, me and my friends say "I'm kind of a big deal" humorously due to it's severe pompousness.

NVM, I was reading up on it and there is no GBA ROM, and the cap size for NDS ROM is 4mb.

Yet again, sounds good, I'd like to hear it. All I hear is complaints about the R4, but those are probably from people that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground- I'm sure you'll be fine.

R4 is one of the better flash carts out there. From what I have heard the Datel Games 'n Music is alright but it has a slower read speed compared to most other carts so some homebrews such as MoonShell suffer from lag.

M3 = R4, btw.

Yup. But I'm still sticking with my EZFlash4/EZPass3, they've been workin' perfect for me since I got 'em, back in like January or so, only disadvantage is that it's a read-only filesystem, so basically some homebrew doesn't work correctly. But bah, they're still awesome.

Does this run homebrew? or do I have to buy something else? (Sorry xD I'm a noob with DS'es xd)

shadowforte

There's a MicroSD card that slides into the card... If that redundancy made any sense.:p

Well, if you just want to run Homebrew and Movies and Music, get the Games & Music. If you are wanting to run "other things" get an R4 or M3. Like cheeze said, there is a little MicroSD card that you pop out of the cart and plug in to your computer. Then it just Drag n Drop from there.

What do you mean "other things"?

ROM's.

Cheezeball99

ROM's.

Bah, there isn't anything wrong with that, I actually usually only run what games I actually have (I really have like 40GBA games... I love the GBA) and it's so nifty to walk around with all of them in my GBM at once.

shadowforte

Yeah. I would but a GBA Flash Cart, but can't find one.

EZFlash4. You can actually use it in conjunction with an EZPass3 to run DS stuff too. That's how I roll, it's a GBA and DS cart. Only drawback is the read-only file system, so some homebrew doesn't work right.

if you want to play ds and gba games the best flashcart is m3 lite which is only compatible with ds lite only it will play emulators,applications,movies,mp3,photos and of course roms, the cd you get with m3 lite has a new movie program and the movie convertor is included which converts movies plus there are 2 other programs for photos and mp3 which have to be convered using the mp3 and photo programs i think m3 lite is really cool, well r4 ds is quite good but it can't play gba games.
