ram question

I currently use 2 1GB ddr 400 sticks in dual channel. Do you think it would be more beneficial to run those at 1t, or put in 2 X512Mb and brink it up to 3gigs but i would be forced to run at 2t command rate. Im not sure if its worth it since 2gigs is plenty of ram. To me it would seem the extra gig is better then the command rate but im not sure.

The 1gig sticks are ocz platinum and the 512 are patriot signature ddr 400

The difference between 2 and 3 gigs'a RAM is inconsequential compared to the speed you would be loosing, I would suggest not doing it.
