okay how do you paste an image onto a layer in photoshop. I made my background and layers and stuff now i want to put a pic on the top layer and i cant figure it out. Please help me lol.

Select the layer you want to paste it it (at your...right, should be the list of layers) then press CTRL + V (paste) and voilá done!

and btw...it doesn't hurt to ask, those who mock you will get a ban from my ban hammer!

okay i cant get this to work do you mind telling me the steps to copy and paste it on. The image is in psd format I lied its in png format.

yeah ill keep messing with it my problem is when i try and put images on something it comes with a white box around it i just want the image and i cant figure out how to cut it out or past e it the right way.

not all pictures have transparency, if you copy something from photoshop TO photoshop, he'll save the transparency data, if it's not photoshop, if you have the image from any other app it's more than normal that it won't save transparency data, now if you happen to see an image that is, in fact, transparent save it and open it with photoshop =D

how do i know if its transparent or not i think it is im not sure though. THe file is png

Most pngs are transparent, in photoshop, you know something is transparent when you see the "chess like" background with white and gray boxes

well...by deleteing some parts from a layer makes them transparent XD

now...do the maths =D
