Here is a step by step guide for installing 3.52 M33. Please note that you must be running 1.50, or any of the OE/3.51M33 series firmware to begin this installation.

First grab the 3.52 M33 files (http://exophase.com/files/psp/3.52M33.zip) and extract them.

1. If you are running firmware 1.5, first go inside the "1.50only" folder and copy both kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% to X:/PSP/GAME and then execute the program through the game menu on the PSP.

2. Copy the M33CREATOR folder to X:/PSP/GAME if you are in 1.50, or to X:/PSP/GAME150 if you are running OE/3.51M33.

3. Now download the 1.50 and 3.52 updates which you can grab below:
1.50 Update (http://exophase.com/files/psp/150.PBP)
3.52 Update (http://exophase.com/files/psp/352.PBP)

4. Place the two updates you downloaded in the M33CREATOR folder.

5. Navigate to the game menu on your PSP, and execute "3.52 M33 CREATOR."

6. Once finished, navigate to the game menu again and execute "3.52 M33UPDATE."

7. When finished, follow the on-screen prompt to reboot. That's it! You've now upgraded to 3.52 M33 :)

This sounds like it has alot of potential, but I'm lettin' myself NEED 3.51 until I update. Cool beans, though, I admire the guy who has aspired to takes D_X's place. I do have a couple questions- is it pretty much just like an OE? Does it have a recovery menu? Does it support plugins?

EDIT: Nevermind, I read the news post. My bad.

Yea it has all of the features from 3.40 OE-A.

Dark Alex tried to leave the scene dead and not share that source code, so he could remain the king of psp hacking. I'm glad these new guys did this. I think D_A needs to learn from this. Keeping the source to himself to be greedy and leave his followers sitting lonely with no hope for a new hacker/team to do what he did. They even did it faster than he could. I have much respect for D_A, but after he left us all hanging without any real explination, now he sees the truth. He isn't the only one who can hack.

Yeah, the new update is just a simple patch you need to run ON 3.51 M33. Takes no more than 2 seconds to update.

First you must use the 3.03 downgrader with a copy of unpatched gta liberty city stories. Or if you dont have that you can go up to 3.50 and use the lumines downgrader. Either way once you are back down to 1.50 you can just use this guide to go to the latest CFW or you can choose from other existing CFW's if you want.

you can't really say that because 3.51M33 and 3.40OE aren't made by the same person or team. but it an higher firmware version.
either way it's right.

Here is a step by step guide for installing 3.51 M33. Please note that you must be running 1.50, or any of the OE series firmware to begin this installation.

First grab the 3.51 M33 files (http://exophase.com/files/psp/m33rel.rar) and extract them.

1. If you are running firmware 1.5, first go inside the "1.50only" folder and copy both kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% to X:/PSP/GAME and then execute the program through the game menu on the PSP.
2. Copy the M33CREATOR folder to X:/PSP/GAME if you are in 1.50, or to X:/PSP/GAME150 if you are running OE.

3. Now download the 1.50 and 3.51 updates which you can grab below:
1.50 Update
3.51 Update

4. Place the two updates you downloaded in the M33CREATOR folder.

5. Navigate to the game menu on your PSP, and execute "3.51 M33 CREATOR."

6. Once finished, navigate to the game menu again and execute "3.51 M33UPDATE."

7. When finished, follow the on-screen prompt to reboot. That's it! You've now upgraded to 3.51 M33

noob question:

What if I'm running 3.40 OE? Same thing as 1.50?

Thanks for the faq, btw.

Acerthief
07-20-2007, 03:44 AM
if you are running 3.40OE-A now just skip step one. start with step two, and you don't have to copy the kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders into your memory stick, just copy the M33CREATOR folder.

I followed the instructions (I upgraded from DA firmware), and I have two questions. First, when I check my software version it still says 3.30 OE-A. Is this supposed to change? Secondly, how do I upgrade to the m33-6 version, do I need to replace the EBOOT file in D:\PSP\GAME\M33CREATOR with the EBOOT from the M33-6 folder? I tried simply putting the m33-6 folder into my PSP\Game folder but when I try to run it, it shows up as "corrupted data" right above the 3.51 M33UPDATER program. Any thoughts?

You didn't complete the guide if it still says 3.30 OE-A.

Go through the guide again, once your Software version says 3.51 M33, then you can run the M33 Update #6.

Plus, you are running OE. You're supposed to be putting the files in GAME150.

X:/PSP/GAME150 if you are running OE.

Move the "M33-SIX" folder to your GAME150 folder and then run the update from the Game menu.

The only advice I can give you is to reboot your PSP, format your memory stick, and then go through the guide again.

1.50 really doesn't have any settings that would affect how homebrew applications run, so all I can say is that it must be a memory stick issue.

IVE SEEN SOME TUTS on how to put custom icons and so on is this still exactly the same on this firmware
you can say yes, and you can say no.
Yes:
comparing to OE series, there's basically no difference. everything's just the same, and the firmware is stable now, fixed bugs that OE has, so what you've seen is basically okay for this firmware. but i don't guaranty 100%.

No:
Most Themes and some homebrew related to the firmware are not compatible yet. if the tut you've seen uses a homebrew or appliances it may NOT work.

can you give me the link of the tut you've seen, so i can give you a better respond XD

it depends on what "stuff" you talking about (like homebrew? or theme?) like i said in the last post, not much themes are compatible yet, homebrews are starting to adapt to the M33 series, i took a few days to try and i found out most homebrew (including plugins) related to flashing, or overwriting files through flash0 and flash1 are more unstable, while other app homebrews or games work solid hard XD.

themes? i tried 15 of them and only one of them worked for me. basically because most theme XMBs are still based under the 3.40 XMB, not 3.51/3.52. the member of exophase.com "banner" said the black and white one works, which is true. that's the only compatible theme i found.

people talk more about 3.40OE-A

the first question:
maybe your SCE logo was skipped.
try to turn off completely as if normal, and this time hold the button until the screen the black and the lights stop blinking. then let go of the power button. now hold the R button and push the power button. hold R until you get to the "M33 Recovery Menu" using and D-pad choose "Configuration", press X, the see the first one
"Skip Sony logo". see if it's Enabled. if it is just press X to disable. the back, exit, and the sony logo should show.

Second Question:
Follow this guide HERE (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=1508) and you will be able to get back to 1.5. Remember to plug your AC and have fun!

Heh, me, personally, I don't see a reason to do it anyway until the FW required in games hits that high; but now, from what I've heard, these firmwares are rock solid, and even have subtle improvements on the OE series, according to forum-god x3-
Well I test just about everything I post here. 3.52 M33 is rock-solid, no bugs at all.

M33 firmware from the start has never been buggy in fact they have been fixing many of the issues that existed in previous OE releases such as the TA-082/86 brightness issue and NO-UMD compatibility.

if you did not use a custom theme, then maybe you had a bad flash because of a bad memory stick.

Does this contain the updates in the 3.52 M33-2 patch? If not, should I use this to update my PSP, or the M33-2?

Also, how do I update from 3.52 M33 to 3.52 M33-2?

this guide only flashes to 3.52M33.
after flashing to 3.52M33, HERE (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=2931) is the guide to update to m33-2,

to upgrade,
download the file, put the M33UPDATE folder into GAME150, then execute the program, press x and it will finish the update.

it means that it's patched.
try starting the 3.52 M33 creator, and see if you can go and start making the updating files

You can still play homebrews. Just put them in X:/PSP/GAME150

Ok I think the time has come to update.

I'm on 3.40oe-a running IR Shell 3.61. Do I simply follow the guide or should I probably format my memory stick and edit the flash0 removing the irspatch.prx patch and edited text pspbtcnf_game.txt file?

Is that necessary or can I just format & disable the plugin in recovery (I don't really care about having IR Shell on this firmware as I don't really use it but it can stay in my flash0 if that's not a problem).

PS: All this to install the Applecor XMB theme, aint it nice!

Copy the M33CREATOR folder to X:/PSP/GAME if you are in 1.50, or to X:/PSP/GAME150 if you are running OE.

I'm running 3.40 OE-A, but my game folder is GAME not GAME150. works fine.

Is it OK to upgrade? :confused1:

Here is a step by step guide for installing 3.52 M33. Please note that you must be running 1.50, or any of the OE series firmware to begin this installation.

2. Copy the M33CREATOR folder to X:/PSP/GAME if you are in 1.50, or to X:/PSP/GAME150 if you are running OE.

3. Now download the 1.50 and 3.52 updates which you can grab below:
1.50 Update (http://72.29.74.204/~exophase/external/150.PBP)
3.52 Update (http://exophase.com/files/psp/352.PBP)

4. Place the two updates you downloaded in the M33CREATOR folder.

5. Navigate to the game menu on your PSP, and execute "3.52 M33 CREATOR."

6. Once finished, navigate to the game menu again and execute "3.52 M33UPDATE."

7. When finished, follow the on-screen prompt to reboot. That's it! You've now upgraded to 3.52 M33 :)

We don't support piracy here, if you want them to work guaranteed then dump them from your UMDs, and make sure you put them in the ISO folder on the root of your memstick.

Acerthief

iso files can only be in the in the ms0:/ISO folder. a few ISO's refuse to show up maybe because it's simply corrupted. ms0:/PSP/GAME is for things in EBOOT.PBP format.

Also if you're using a 8GB memory stick, it can only read up to 4GB, the rest 4GB might be full of your games, but the PSP can't read it. it's something that the authors are trying to fix as well.

ok, this question may be noobish and stupid, but I haven't found an exact answer to the question I have in all my research, so here goes...

I am running 3.40 OE-a right now and am considering upgrading to 3.52 M33, so my question is: What are the basic differences in how the two run?

If I install 3.52 M33 now, will I be able to play my eboot PSX games immediately after installing, and will I be able to load my existing save files?

I've read that as long as you saved the data on "3.40" originally, you won't lose it, so does that mean that 3.40 OE-a and 3.52 M33 use the same PSX emulator?

Is there anything special I have to do to get the 3.52 M33 PSX emulator to work (I've seen various references to certain files pertaining to popsloader, which I THINK is the PSX emulator--up until now, I've just happily played PSX eboots without bothering to learn much about the emulator they run on)?

Is there anything essentially important I should know about the inner workings of 3.52 M33?

Thanks in advance. I'm very confident I'll get helpful answers to my questions here :)

P.S.: one more extremely noobish question: If I install 3.52 M33, then can Install the #4 update right away, or do I have to install 2 & 3 first. Thanx

Cheezeball99
08-23-2007, 03:25 AM
Uh, they use close to the same emulator, although I honestly think I've heard of a save game issue between the versions. Other than that they're basically the same, aside from 3.52M33 having more options and obviously being 3.52. And yes, you can directly use update 4 without the others.

Keep in mind that my mind may be making that up; The only thing would actually be you having to convert your savegames to be compatible with 3.52, which it asks if you want to do and does automatically once you start a PSX game, I believe.

Your 3.40 OE PSone saves will have no issue in 3.52 M33...

However... I *believe* it will ask you to convert all your saves to 3.52 format when running a game for the first time (it did this in 3.40, don't really remember if does in 3.5x).

If that is the case then if you ever decided to go back to 3.40 OE, or use 3.40 or below pops, these saves will not work without converting them back to 3.40 format.

There's a guide here on how to convert them back:
http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=1553

Honestly though, you probably won't be doing that. 3.52 pops has better compatibility with most PSone titles.

thanx so much for the info, i think i'm gonna upgrade now, but I have one more question: what is different about the popsloader in M33's update #4? I thought that popsloader was the emulator used by the CFW already, so why is it in the update? Is it essential to playing PSX games if I'm upgrading from 3.40 OE-A?

I've googled it several times and can't find how it works in relation to 3.40 OE-a going to 3.52 M33. Does this mean it's inconsequential to me and I don't need to use it?

sorry for the noob questions, this should do it for me :)

The PSone emulator is already integrated into the firmware but popsloader lets you use previous versions of it. So you are probably not going to use it but in case a game is not compatible with 3.52 pops, but is with 3.40 pops, then the option is there.

Acerthief
08-24-2007, 09:56 AM
for ISO games you put it in ms0:/ISO folder.
games, hm.... you don't need kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% anymore.
kxploitpatcher% will be shown as corrupted data, but that's okay. it's shown as corrupted data because your PSP doesn't understand what it is. but it's still data, so don't delete it!

for like updates and emulators, put it in ms0:/PSP/GAME150.

i suggest you to format your memory stick with your PSP, then all the folders needed will be created automatically by the PSP after the format.

Try formatting it and copy the files back over... also, make sure your 3.52 EBOOT matches this size: 21,558,885 bytes.

I just bought my psp with version m33 3.5.2 I want to upgrade it to m33 3.5.2-4 but I am not sure how. The 3.5.2-4 zip file from m33 does not contain any instructions and should I upgrade from 3.5.2 to 3.5.2-2 to 3.5.2-3 to 3.5.2-4 or can I upgrade straight from m33 3.5.2 to 3.5.2-4 m33.

You can go straight from 3.52 M33 to 3.52 M33-4, download the file here http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3185

well for different firmwares (not whether custom or official, but like if it's3.03, 3.10, or 3.40) Sony changed the format on the saving files and and codes, which will make newer save data not compatible with the older firmware. with this you can change to the format of your saved data to any format (eg format for 3.03, format for 3.10, like that) you pleasure.

There's no need for this if you're not playing any PSX and or playing them on older firmwares.

if you are going to play your game & save with the same memory on any firmware before 3.40, then you'll need it. the thing is it won't convert back to the format for firmwares before 3.40, it will ask at the start of the game the first time you play it which kind of format do you want and it will be saved as the format you've chosen.

nope, some games do not work with the 3.52 pops (already built-in to the flash), so you can use popsloader to load older pops versions and try the game on them.

Yeah you can ignore the M33-2 and M33-3 updates.

All you do is download the update, extract it, and copy the "PSP" folder to your memory stick drive. Then run the update through the Game menu on the PSP.

Do you have other guide for those update like 3.52 M33-2,3 & 4 - like where the files should be copy ....

very sorry coz I'm newbie/noob.

Ahh... my bad, just looked at the M33 readme.

Video ISOs go in X:/ISO/VIDEO/

Then you should be able to turn the ISO video mount option on. Also, they require any UMD to be inserted in the drive.

You don't need a UMD disc in for games, but the M33 readme says Video ISOs won't work unless a UMD disc is in the drive.

If you are having problems with some games try switching the ISO driver to Sony NP9660

1) After the upgrade is it normal for the MAC Address info to be blank under system information?

2) I have M33 now but isn't there now newer revisions? How should I go about installing the newest revision and wich version is the newest to date?

Thanks!! xD

Hey guys,

Can we just install 3.52 M33 firmware from 3.51 M33 Firmware? or do i have to downgrade to 1.5 again and then upgrade to 3.52 M33?

Thanks

Acerthief

if you are on the "official" 3.51, then you'll have to downgrade with pandora batter (to convert, check THIS (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3238) guide, and see if you have anyone with a psp around with customfirmware or v1.5) and then update to 3.52M33 using this guide and then update directly to 3.52M33-4 HERE (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3185).

i'm going for 3.52 M33-4. i installed the kxploitpatcher with no problems, then the 3.52 M33 CREATOR with no problems, but then ran into an error with the 3.52 M33UPDATE step, where it tells me that my psar is incorrect. i've done everything perfectly fine, so i assume it's either my PSP or Sony 4GB memory card pro duo that's causing the hassle. i'm thinking of using the 3.52 M33 Winstaller instead, but i got scared after the intro warning about brickin the system, because if it's possible to throw $94 out the window, it'll happen, with MY luck. what do i do? thanks

All of that will work fine in this custom firmware. And yes you can always revert back to firmware 1.5.

Follow the guide and shut up. XD
Nah just kidding.

basically it's the same thing as upgrading OE.
Download all the files first (M33 files, 150.PBP, 352.PBP)
Skip step 1 since that's for firmware 1.5 only.

Follow the steps, open the M33file archive, and put the M33CREATOR folder into ms0:/PSP/GAME150.
Then put the 150.PBP and 352.PBP into the M33CREATOR folder.
Run the program on the PSP. after it's done, press X to exit,
and you'll see the 3.52M33 UPDATE in GAME/MEMORYSTICK of you XMB.
Be sure to have 75% percent battery and start Flashing!

Feel free to ask more question, or post in the Help Center. :)

Install 3.52 M33 Update #4, available here -

Once installed, press HOME at the PSP main menu screen and toggle UMD ISO mode to "Sony NP9660", now try and start a game.

First you'll need to downgrade to firmware 1.5 to install 3.52 M33.

The downgrading method depends on the firmware that is installed on the PSP. Most PSPs, now come with 3.50 pre-installed, which requires a copy of the game Lumines to downgrade.

If you have OE you can go straight onto 3.52 m33 following this guide. Then I'd recommend going to 3.52 m33-4. As DA is currently patching 3.71 M33 to work with the 1.5 Kernel.

Hi there!

I'm fairly new at this too... so here goes:
I followed the installation instructions and things went very smoothly until I had to run the 3.52 M33 Update. (Step 6) When I run it, the program goes to a black screen and loads the PSAR to RAM. Then it says "checking PSAR integrity.... incorrect psar" and sends me back to the main menu. Any ideas why this happened? How do I fix it? I downloaded all the files through the links provided by the tutorial here.

I have a 1.50 PSP...

Thanks!

Semi-bricked: You can still access recovery but not the XMB.

Bricked: PSP turns on but nothing works.

As for your problem, try formatting your memory stick (it will clear all data off so backup any important files) and then re-copy files and try running M33Creator again.

Just got 3.71m33-2 installed. I'm getting ready to go on a trip and I have a few UMD DVD's that I put as ISO in the /ISO/VIDEO location. VSH options UMD ISO Mode as Sony NP9660 and ISO VIDEO MOUNT is set to my ISO file name.

I move the selector to music then back to VIDEO and the UMD VIDEO icon fails to appear. I was able to watch them under 3.52M33-4 but I have not tried it under the initial 3.71 release.

Any idea what's going on?

Edit: My memory (brain) was broke. I forgot that we're required to have SOME kind of UMD disc within the drive to watch ISO versions of UMD movies. DOH!

When I have updated to 3.52 M33 from 1.50 is it ok to format my memory stick or will it damage my psp since Im wanting to update to the verson 7 of this I think is out now.
So should I format my memory stick right after I have updated to 3.52 M33 or should I wait until after I have updated to the newiest verson?

Should I format my memory stick at all?

I have a 512 SanDisk memory card it says "Memory Stick PRO Duo" "MagicGate!"

Does that mean that it is REAL or fake I ask this since when copying some data files it has made the Save data currunpt my friends say that has happend to them with their 1GB sony ones but is this card real I got this from GAME shop in the uk so it should be right yes?

I have ordered a new 4 GB Sony one it should arrive tomorrow the same day as Lummines but witch one should I work I dont want to be using a faultly memory stick?

Thanks. I will update you on the status of my psp when I have updated it and downgraded it lols.

1,2,3) YES always format your memory stick before flashing in case of any corruption. and 3.71M33 is out, but you need to upgrade to 3.52M33 first with this guide your posting.

4,5,6) you can check if you memory stick is fake by looking at the "Information" section on your PSP. (go to any function that has a memory stick on your main screen and press information for... information :D).
or you can check if you memory stick is fake by looking at this thread HERE (http://http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=1035&highlight=fake)

3. Do I need all the upgrades onto 3.52 M33 to be able to install the newer verson?

4. If I format my memory stick when I have upgarded to 3.52 M33 will I loose any of the folders that I need that would be good or used for homebrew?

1. No, shouldn't be. Only some Japanese copies of the game have been reported as patched.

2. Patched Lumines won't be able to run the downgrader period. But you shouldn't worry unless you ordered it from Japan.

3. You need install 3.52 M33, t hen apply the 3.52 M33-4 update, which includes all previous updates into one.

4. No, if you format the memory stick on PSP it auto creates all the folders you need.

5. Yes.

6. 3.71 M33 is better.

He guys, i'm a bit late with upgrading again. Left my psp alone for a long time.
I just installed the 3.52M33 from this topic. But it stops after loading 1.50firmware
and says i could not open file1.50.PBP.
My current firmware is 2.71Seb. It should work with it?
Must I change settings in the recovery mode of 2.71??

Or is it wise to downgrade back to 1.5(which I read a few posts back)
and then upgrade?? Can I downgrade 2.71Seb?
Ok sorry just read in the downgrade topic that I don´t have to downgrade.

where did you download the the 150.PBP?
also a fake memory stick might be the problem. Check it out HERE (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=1035&highlight=fake) to see if you have a fake one.

For recovery settings disable everything, plugins, skip logo all that.

About the HOME menu not showing up - I get that sometimes, its a bug I think. A reboot fixes it though.

I thought that too. Could it be because I deleted the files after I installed the 3.5 M33-4 updates. Otherwise I have been trying to restart it and I removed the battery and put it back in and it still doesnt show up. Could it be a setting or something or do I have to try to reinstall everything. Thanks

Yeah hold R while turning on the PSP to enter the Recovery menu and then go into configuration and make sure Use VSHMenu is set to enabled.

sorry if my question sounds really trival, but i haven't got any experience with PSPs.

I currently have DevHook but am thinking of now using DAX.

Question.

1. If i reformat my memory stick and follow the steps on this guide it should do the job yes? (and yes i have downgraded to 1.5 firmware)
2. After i install this 3.52 i should be able to upgrade it to 3.71 yes? I presume this is the only way to get to 3.71 as there's no straight forward way of doing it at the moment.

1. Yes

2. It is a 3 step process. You need to install 3.52 M33, then upgrade to 3.52 M33-4 (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3185). Once finished then you can install 3.71 M33.

well you just need to copy the M33Creator folder to GAME150.

You're correct, 3 PBP files are in the zip... but you're not seeing the folders at all? Should be right above the readme file.

what program are you using to extract the zip? Using WinRAR I get this:

try using WinRAR if you aren't already, or show me a picture of what the zip looks like for you.

Hey guys I just started having some issues with some games. I try to start certain games and it says the game could not be started because (80020148 ) Dont know what that means but it does that for manhunt 2 and vice city stories, but other games like the bigs and swat do work. Do know if there is any particular reason but I have 3.50 33.4 and a umd game of Luminus in the disc player,so if anyone is having the same issues, let me know what you did thanks

wait a sec. 3.50 33.4? and i suppose you're saying that's your firmware?

What firmware do you have?
(@ the XMB, you go to [System] -> [System Settings] -> [System Information], and you'll see your firmware version)

make sure your "UMD Mode" is set to "Sony np9660", and "Normal" with a UMD in your PSP.

If it still doesn't work, then the ISO itself might be corrupted.

Try formatting your flash1
Turn off your PSP completely, Hold R and turn it on.
You'll be directed to the "Recovery Menu".
Go to "Advanced" (Press X to go in), and the last selection will be formatting your flash1.

Give it a shot. you'll lose some settings on your PSP, and your wallpaper, but it's fast to set them back ;).

Grateful for some help/advice/links for the problem I seem to have...

Have been using Devhook to give me firmware 3.11, but needed to upgrade further so used M33Creator to get to 3.51M33-1. However I now need to upgrade further and want to go to 3.71.

This is where my problem begins. I have downloaded the correct software and boot files and followed the instructions exactly (just like I did to get to 3.51) for 3.52M33 (as I undertsand to get to 3.71 I require to be at 3.52M33-3 (or 4)) however when I run the M33Creator I get the following error "3.52 PSAR size doesn't match”. Have tried different versions of 3.52creator and 3.52 BOOT. Have also formatted MS (1GB) and used another MS (1GB) which still did not resolve the problem.

What I would like to know is :-
a) how can I upgrade to 3.71 - what am I doing wrong ?
b) If somehow I can't upgrade further because of a problem, how can I return to 1.50 so that I can then upgrade to 3.71 - hopefully with instructions.
c) Are there any other options that I could do without "bricking" my PSP ?

Thanks in advance for any help provided, and keep up the great work.

a)
try downloading the 352.PBP again, or on another computer..
Also refer to THIS (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=1035) thread here, and see if you have a memory stick.

After upgrading to 3.52M33, install the Update 4 Patch (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3185&highlight=m33+update).

b)you can only upgrade to 3.71M33 with 3.52M33-3 or later firmwares.

c)follow up the instrctions and you'll be fine :D

No it should only take around 5 minutes or so. First try formatting your memory stick then copy back all the files and see if that helps. If not, then you have a faulty memory stick.

What update file? The M33-4 update? You can download it here: http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3185

Also, I don't know why the forum said that but you can retrieve your password by filling out the lost password form here: http://forums.exophase.com/login.php?do=lostpw

Hold R while turning on your PSP to enter recovery mode, then enter Configuration and switch the GAME folder kernel setting to 1.5. This should fix up any problems you have with DGEN.

If you are having troubles with games showing up try deleting ISOCACHE.BIN in PSP/SYSTEM

But if that doesn't help its most likely an issue with the ISO itself or your memory stick.

I have a 3.30 OE-A and I'm trying to upgrade the PSP with ur guide but instead of 3.52 M33 CREATOR, KXploit Permanent Patcher is there. I skipped the first part step, downloaded the M33CREATOR folder, put the 1.50 update and 3.52 update in the M33CREATOR folder, and put the M33CREATOR in PSP/GAME150. What did I do wrong?

Only if you are on firmware 1.5. If you ignored Step 1, that file shouldn't be there anyway.

Anyways... to get rid of it delete the 1.50only folder on your memory stick.

Just hold your power button up till it powers off..Then hold in the R1 button when you power it back up..This will put you in recovery mode..in recovery mode select configuration...then you will see your options for UMD mode...select No Umd:smile: now i've heard some games will still need umd, i havent run into any but i guess there out there.

That's a way, but that's for 3.40OE-A.

Now for 3.52M33, there's a built-in menu at the main menu of your psp (aka XMB). Press home and it will come out. You can set your CPU speed, as well as the UMD mode.

Change the UMD mode to "Sony np9660", which is an ISO loader coded my sony themselves! so the compatibility is nearly 100% :D.
