PSPTube is an application which allows users to play YouTube videos on PSP. An English readme was not included, so here's a guide on installing it...
1. Download PSPTube (http://exophase.com/files/psp/PSPTube20070812.zip).
2. Extract the archive using WinRAR or a similar utility. Inside you'll find three folders. This is where it gets confusing for some people, so here's what to do, depending on the firmware version installed.
If running firmware 1.00, copy the "PSPTube" folder inside of "100" to X:/PSP/GAME on the memory stick.
If running firmware 1.50, copy the "__SCE__PSPTube" and "%__SCE__PSPTube" folders inside of "150" to X:/PSP/GAME on the memory stick.
If running firmware 3.40 OE, copy the "PSPTube" folder inside of "200over" to X:/PSP/GAME340 on the memory stick.
If running firmware 3.52 M33, copy the "PSPTube" folder inside of "200over" to X:/PSP/GAME352 on the memory stick.
If running firmware 3.40 Wildcard, copy the "PSPTube" folder inside of "200over" to X:/PSP/GAME on the memory stick.
3. Enter the folder you copied over to the memory stick, and open the file "psptube.cfg"
4. Create a YouTube Developer Account (http://www.youtube.com/my_profile_dev).
5. Go back to the "psptube.cfg" file, and find where it says "dev_id" In between the quotes, input the Developer ID you received in Step 4. Save the file.
6. Now navigate to the Game menu on your PSP and start PSPTube. That's it.
Somehow, whatever I search, it would say no result found..

maybe that's a bug, remember, the program is still in its initial stages, and will be improved :)

(sorry for bringing back old threads, dunno if that's ok.)

It seems they changed a page a bit. First sign up for a YouTube account then go to:
http://www.youtube.com/my_profile_dev
and fill out the form to get a DevID.

Thanks.
A problem - it says loading config failed. I see these two lines-
; example)dev_id = ""
dev_id = ""
Do I put the account name or the id in which quotes?

It will work if you are running custom firmware 3.71 M33, but on official 3.71, no it won't work.

Custom firmware is a hacked version of the official firmware... it allows you to run programs such as PSPTube.
Since you are on 3.73 you'll have to downgrade using Pandora's battery (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3780).

Just use the latest PSPTube release. It doesn't require you to enter a developer ID anymore and has a bunch of new features.

You'll need the Universal Unbricker. Check it out in the FAQ section.
Note that you'll need a custom firmware PSP as well.
Or you can check out the noobz.eu (http://noobz.eu) forums and see if there's people near your area that has flashing services.

Sony's official firmware blocks homebrew applications such as PSPTube from running. You'll need to install 3.71 M33 by following this guide:
http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3780
Converting the battery requires a PSP already running custom firmware... so since you don't have one, and if you don't know anyone who has one, then you can purchase a pre-converted battery, such as the Datel TOOL battery.

Yes, it's actually stated in the guide that this works on 3.52 M33. If you're running 3.71 M33 and up, I recommend using the latest PSPTube beta release (http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=5421&highlight=psptube).

ZIP is a compressed file, you need to use a program like WinZIP or WinRAR to extract it. Still it won't work because PSPTube cannot run on official firmware. You need to have custom firmware installed.

On the Main Menu (XMB) of the PSP, choose "Settings" -> "System Settings" -> "System Information".
If after the version number there are no "OE" or "M33" or whatever characters, then it's custom firmware.
Also if you got it out-of-box, then it's mostly likely to be official firmware.

Did you download the PSPTube linked in the first post? It should work as long as you placed the 200over folder in X:/PSP/GAME340

I see the problem now. You need to copy the PSPTube folder inside of 200over to the GAME340 folder.

I saw some one pushing this heaven psptube, but not sure thers an actual difference aside from more channels. But the site is crap and I can't regester/access anything. (side note.. upgrading to 4.01 was impossible and finding a working psptube was equally hard. Just wondering if anyone else had issues.)
