Ok so Im thinking of installing Damn Small Linux on one of my USB Drives and was wondering if anyone else had tried it and if it was any good. I only want it for programming for my PSP as it is much faster so I just want a few opinions on it.

i was wondering about keeping DS Linux on a USB drive too to use in school to compile PSP stuff in college so any opinions on it would be helpful for me too :)

But can you compile programs and write the programs?

good question roe lol. there is something called LIVE CD linux, the link i gave you the other day is it. just set your school computer to CD boot first and smack the CD in. but for the programs, no idea. i think we'll need to use Cygwin, the other method from psp-hacks.com might not be compatible.

I know the other method isnt possible because its made for windows. The reason I was looking at DSL is because its only 50mb and i have dial up. I dl'ed it and it took 3 hours. Im trying it out now so I'll coome back with my results.

you can program (I think) all you have to do is get the right tools although I am not sure if it compiles...
