I'd still go with Windows since i've been using it for a LONG LONG time,
but now i use linux as my alternative option, so i dont' have to wait for 5 minutes just to load my desktop.

I'm a Windows PW, all the way, the main thing holdin' me back is the 3rd party stuff- I needs me emulators 'n' such. I don't mind Linux, and Mac, peh, OSX can set on fire for all I care, it completely blows. FIGHT, BEGIN!

Hmm... for me.. I use windows, it just works!
Now, linux has its advantages, its safer and more organized, still not compatible with some hardware and somewhat buggy in some cases
Windows...is compatible with it all, especially viruses and etc.. >.< nothing more needs to be said
MAC OS X is a ballance between Linux and Windows, although not that many people use it, its one of the best unix based operating systems I've seen so far (apart from ubuntu XD)
and well...as I said above... I <3 windows =D

Exactly.
Well, this didn't really turn into as much of a debate as I'm sure MenaceInc intended, or I expected. Crap.

Mac OS = horrible, worst OS ever IMO.
I use Vista and Ubuntu Linux, more often I am using Vista though since majority of the apps I use are Windows based.

Ugh I hate Vista. I will agree with the Mac OS though.

vista screwed up my computer once. vista-free in our house for now.
Mac OS, never tried it, but seems that all my Mac OS user friends are complaining about it.
Sticking wih XP and ubuntu. XD

i did like Mac OS X when i tried it.admittedly i never really sat down and properly messed about with it but i think it really is the better looking OS out of the three in reference to icons and such.

See, what I don't like about Mac OSX is, ironically enough, what makes 'the masses' like it- it's FAR FAR FAR too user-friendly. It holds your hand through everything, automatically does 3/4 of the crap, and with that comes lack of choices- I like to know what I'm doing on the comp, and decide if I want to copy those pics from my camera, not just automatically copy, digitally enhance, and upload to my Myspace. I dunno, I'm just very much a control freak on my compy.

The only OS I've ever tried is Windows XP and Vista. Vista is ok but I went back to XP a few days ago because it was just annoying with all its permissions.

No idea I could probably find out but I'd say an 80gb hardrive, 128mbs of ram 64mb video mem (not to sure) it was a miracle it was still running after it started smoking brought it in like 7 years ago but hey I don't even use it anymore really.

just after loading up vista onto mum's bf's brothers computer and....oh my....
it's got the eye candy (and permissions) of Linux and the good looks of mac OSX combined with the games and resource hogging of Windows.....i love it :D
the machine i have it on atm has a base score of 2 :( its cause it's on on board graphics....otherwise it'd be up at a 4.5.... :(
still,great OS :D

try to play some games, you will hate it.
PS:My score was 3.4 because of my video card (nvidia geforce fx5200 xt :p)

I get 5.6 for gaming graphics. I still do get better frame rates in games under XP, but the difference is about 5FPS, depending on the game. Not enough to really impact performance unless I'm playing Crysis :P But yea.. I think this is because video card drivers just aren't optimized well enough yet for Vista. It's probably not a fault of the OS itself. Same thing happened when we went from Win 2k to XP.

video card drivers are surprisingly over bloated on most of todays systems though anyway because they include features for other cards in order to cut down on the work that goes into making and mantaining drivers....
btw x3,

I did, it has a DX9 and DX10 mode. DX10 mode lets you select very high on all visual settings... but at those settings it is not really playable unless you have an 8800 ultra.
