Fairly self-explanatory. Which is better? Is organized religion good AT ALL? GO!

i personally don't have anything against organised religion but the way that people who try and force their religions down other's throats i hate....i myself don't follow anything really....but if organised religion can help people out there then it's a good thing.
however its a bad thing when it starts affecting people's rights.

No problem with it, I'm religious myself, but I believe there is a time and a place for everything, and as long as organized religion does not interfere with state issues, I believe it still has a place in todays society.
Religion keeps humanity from destroying itself. It makes this blue ball stay in one piece. But there are few problems...

IMO, religion sucks. Why the hell people want to believe in something or someone? I don't mean to offend anyone, but the whole concept of religion is simply stupid, IMO

It gives a lot of people hope...... Now I don't believe in much but I ogtta believe everything got create somehow. If not how far back could time be traced.

Have you heard about the Big-Bang theory?

... I'm with fearevil19 on this one. Religion is foolish, IMO, but if I were to tell you that I don't think you should be religious then it'd be no different than you trying to convert me. Do what you want, believe in what you want, but if you try to preach to me all you're going to do is piss me off.
Big Bang makes no sense. IMO.

It makes perfect sense and all but do YOU even know what its about. Even though it explains a lot everything that came from the big bang theoretically came from the combined unvierse being sucked in by a black whole which collapsed on its self. So where did the matter come from in the first place I'm not saying its the classic god figure maybe its some super evil alien trying to get amusement I dont know but I think something mustve done something.
Where does it say "combined unvierse being sucked in by a black whole which collapsed on its self." ?
The Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_bang) suggests everything came from a small point of matter.
So which is it? I always thought big bang was a small point of matter that apparently 'exploded'...

Agreed.

I was forced to know that (I'm still in school:glare:).

lol
Well, human beings can't really explain everything..maybe in 2314 :p
Maybe the nothing is not really nothing, maybe every little light, dust, etc (somehow) generated some kind of energy.Maybe a super gravitational (I'm i saying this right?) force which atracted even little piece of energy. But again if Nothing is really nothing then...I don't know:confused1:

Well it was my understanding from a book by steven hawking and the help up of my high school teacher so........ It technically was one point of matter greatly compressed under the force of the gravity generated by the black whole but black wholes slowly release energy in radiation and when they dont have anything more to suck in they just progressively get smaller until they burst.
It's cool shit.
