shadowforte

Well, it has a lot of meanings, such as healthy. But some have adapted it to meen things that have to do with...umm.."buying" women. But don't worry, you can use it as long as you don't use it in that term. I will get more into terms later on.
Darkchild

no prob xD
I also thought that Genki desu ka was used when (for example) you fell down and I asked you if you are all right :X
shadowforte
10-19-2007, 08:17 PM
Yeah, you can use it for about any form of are you alright/how are you doing.
Darkchild
10-19-2007, 08:18 PM
hmm... okies! =)
About the desu ka....
You didn't teach them in this lesson, can I ask you something about them? :X
shadowforte

Darkchild
10-19-2007, 08:22 PM
ok, let's imagine
O genki desu ka
o = ?
genki = all right
desu = are
Ka = used to turn the sentence in a question (I think)
What does the "O" mean and is it right?
shadowforte
10-19-2007, 08:28 PM
It not only starts the sentence, but directs to who you are talking to. Now keep in mind that is what it means in this sentence, not in all sentences.
Darkchild
10-19-2007, 08:31 PM
in this case it's "You" right?
shadowforte
10-19-2007, 08:34 PM
in this case it's "You" right?
Yes! :biggrin: (Someone is learning!) That is what it means, as in you are asking someone, or directing the question. Yay :biggrin:
