dvd external drive

Well I've previously had no trouble burning things with my external dvd burner but as of today it nop longer shows up in any of my burner programs or in "My Computer" I've tried unpluggin it and retying I've tried other stuff too any suggestions it's almost brand new. Memorex brand

What I could suggest is... Go into Device Manager and uninstall and reinstall it (Search for new hardware).

I had the same problem with my external hard drive and that seemed to work, if not, did a CD come with it? If so reinstall the drivers (If you have another drive that is ;P)

If that doesn't work, post the model number and such of your DVD External Drive and I'll look for the drivers online.

thx for the suggestions guy I tried unplugging and replugging in usb and didnt work then i just decided to turn the whole thing off and bam works well thx for stuff anyways.
