He needs advice on how this is.
around 760USD in total.
Asus P5KR mobo
Intel Core2 Duo at 3.0Ghz
DDR2 4GB (he's nuts)
Nvidia GeForce 7200 SG (I think it's SG...)
Mitsubishi 250GB*2
my old 15'' ViewSonic LCD screen
XP Pro w/ Service Pack 2
Looks fast generally, I installed GTA:SA/FS:2004 the load time was five times fast than mine. but I do realized that the mobo wasn't a good option, but my dad has a contract with Asus, so he's getting Asus mobo with lower prices. (In fact all our computers at home have Asus mobo)
So what'd ya guys think?

Awesome! Actually man, 4GB isn't THAT ridiculous or anything... And I bet the video card is GS, not SG :p But yeah, nice comp.

Great CPU but the video card is lacking. Should've went with atleast a 7600GT, that 7200 GS will struggle with games like HL2 EP2.

If you have money enough, go with a 8800 GTX XP

The video card is around 60USD, and that was how much my dad was willing to pay.
The clerk actually made the choice, because the clerk said 7200 GS works good with 1394 e SATA input.
Besides, this computer isn't for gaming, my dad needs it to edit his films.

Oh okay. If he's not doing any heavy gaming on it then yeah that video card is more than adequate.

Bump. Sorry to revive this thread.
My dad's changing to vista home, and he's asking is there anything he should know before he install it?

Exactly, Cheeze.
BUT, he has the trail version video app has becomes a bug in vista that is an advantage for us.
(The program says "You Still have: 10hrs". My dad used it for a whole day and it says "You Still have: 10hrs", full version trial without time limit!!)

actually i really like vista...i know they kinda took all the good parts of Mac and Linux distros but it did come together really nicely. and running it on a new iMac,it runs really well i think.
i've yet to try any games though,in the middle fo downloading Counterstrike Source for it now :)
