The 7600GT is probably the best card available in your price range. It will play the newer games with some settings turned down too.

Would that card be much of a step up from my old card because at the moment I can play Crysis with a decent fps at 800 x 600 res.

Yeah, the 7600GT will give you roughly 2-3 times the performance.
If you are willing to spend a bit more, here is a X1950 Pro

X1950 is nearly double the performance of a 7600GT, here are some benchmarks:

Yeah, that X1950 Pro looks good, and if I was to buy it off newegg it would cost me €82 approx. Unfortunateley newegg doesn't deliver to Ireland :( But I've found this, http://www.dabs.ie/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=4QK4&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=Radeon+X1950PRO&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0 Is it the same?

It is. Btw are you sure your motherboard has a PCI-E slot? I noticed the graphics card you have right now also comes in AGP.

Just took a look at the box and it says PCI Express based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available so yep, it's all good. Thanks for the help x3.

I still haven't bought a card due to lack of a credit card, but I should be able to get one soon. But now I have 140 euro to spend so is there any cards better than the X1950 Pro in my range now?

I'd say the HD3850 would be the next step up. But it'll cost around 170 euro.

That's the card I have. It'll perform nearly the same as a X1950 Pro, but costs more because of DirectX10 support.
HD3850 is about two times as good. You may want to wait until next month apparently Nvidia is releasing the 9600GT in February. It'll perform about the same as a 8800GT but only cost around $150.
