FablePC on Vista error

Please help!! I've been thru the runaround with Microsoft to no avail and now I'm asking for help here..Basically when I try to run the game I get a fault stating that Protect Stub has stopped working and it closes the game(even though Fable.exe is still listed in Processes) I have searched my heart out for a solution for this but I can't find one.

Can anyone help? If I need to provide more info, say so. Also could anyone running Vista Home Premium download the December 2007 update that should help me? I'm on a Library PC and can't run Windows Validation..

hmmm I'm no vista user, but I've heard that disabling the "UAC" thing in it sometimes helps. dunno if that might help, if not, try updating your installed version of vista, that problem may have been fixed a long time ago!

Got it going, I had to turn off User Account Control (it's stupid anyway..why hide my files from me?) And disable Windows defender as it was causing the Protection Stub error.Runs like a champ now..Thanks for the reply and help Dc..
