I have some viruses that my virus program picked up but it is unable to delete it because it is part of an archive. I've tried everything with the program and since it isnt accessible to me i dont know how to get to it the folder its in does not show up in c:\ drive what should i do to delete it. I think its slowing my comp down.

hmmm, let me give you some advice,
Take note of this "archive" 's wereabouts.
then, while restarting press F8 constantly and start windows in Safe mode, when not having practically anything loaded into memory, try deleting the archive.
tell me if this worked.

Ok sorta the same as DC's suggestion.
Write down the full address of where the files located.
Restart in Safe Mode
Next go to Run and type in the address of where the archive is located.
Ie. C:\WINDOWS\system32
Then select the archive and delete.
Lemme know if this worked.

just something i think you might wanna know.
if the file/archive is unselectable and it has a really long filename then you can use the command shell to get rid of it be refering to its shortname.
start up the command shell and go to the directory with the archive/file in it, type in dir /X which will show the files and directories in your current directory along with the shortname which will look like "thisis~1.txt". you can use this when your files or whatever end up with filenames too long for windows to work with ;)
