Mum's bf got a new computer cause he fried the processor on his old setup so he offered me the old setup for £32.50 (the balance on his credit card bill :P )

so the setup goes as such....

MSI MS-7184 mobo
2x 512mb pc3200 ram
ATI x1600 pro graphics card (on PCIe)
160gb Hard Drive (think its a seagate one :( )


so i just threw in the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 i got for about £40 and thats me running a new setup :P
thinking i should up the cooling in it since its only stock heatsinks and fans...
also,upgrade the gfx card to something like a 8600 GT i think....

pity i only have a few crappy CRT monitors in the house...although in the middle of converting a old dead laptops monitor to use with it ;)

alright for £72 in total i think. :)
what do you's think? :)

Great deal. I've never had a problem with Seagate btw, all my drives are Seagate. They have a good warranty plan too.

so i'm the only one whos had problems with seagate HD's in the past?...lol.fair enough.i've lost a lot of music because of them before....ah well,thats what backups are for :)

also,need to find a MSI bios to flash to the mobo because at the moment it has a compaq one thats locked out the OC options... :(

ok, OLD Maxtor HDs xD, I have a 1 year old Maxtor HD that doesn't work, while my SamSung HD is still working perfectly

It beats my piece of crap rig still rocking 512 mb of ram and pentium 4 processor think its like hmm from the year 2000 or so. count your blessings. i so need a new comp :(.
