I've been trawling through thousands of supports and forums of if this was possible.
Being able to play pc games with an Xbox 360 wireless controller with the Plug and Charge Adapter.
Some said yes some said no now I have no idea because the one's who said yes didn't tell you how and the one's who said no didn't give a reason. I'm trying to be slightly optimistic because it seems to recognizes it there.
Any help to either tell me i have to go out and buy the wireless receiver to use it or i can actually use it would be nice.
OOPS IN WRONG SECTION CAN YOU PUT IN PC DISCUSSION.....

Well, first of all, lets determine if the PC detects it as a game controller,
Go to the Control Panel, then open "Game Controllers"
You should see the Xbox 360 controller there, if so, select it, and press proprieties, and now press a few keys.
If all works, then all we need to do is configure the games to USE that gamepad.

But he's using the play-and-charge kit, so it's probably not going to work. >.> I'd suggest some sort of wireless reciever.

well XboX 360 isn't one of my best point, but didn't microsoft develop and/or release drivers or devices for such use?
I remember I read about that somewhere on the internets..

i found this on google in the first page looking for "360 controller via plug and charge kit"....
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming/gaming.mspx
basically you can use it but only wirelessly it seems...you COULD try to install the driver for the wired one but i wouldn't keep my hopes up.you would need a 360 controller receiver for your pc it seems.

Well, even plugged in a PC with the Plug and Charge adapter without any battery, the xbox 360 detected the controller when I turned it on. So it mean that even plugged with the Plug and Charge adapter, it still works as a wireless controller. So you'll need the wireless adapter to make it work on a PC.
