For some reason my music thing pops up in every screenie too:confused1:

Nope! Been using linux full-time since Fedora Core 2, and 64 bit linux full-time since FC3. I tend to switch back and forth between Fedora and Ubuntu as my distro of choice. I'm currently running Xubuntu 8.04. Here's my desktop.

Here's one of the workspaces when I'm working on PSP stuff.

I tend to change the desktop wallpaper every week or two, but most of them are like the one in the snaps.

1920X1200 WOW :w00t: you must have a really high end display.
I suppose a MONSTER really helps out when you have to concentrate on lines of code and such as you do when your developing

It's a Dell 2407 - their 24" LCD. It's a really nice monitor, and I splurged on it and a 7900GT almost two years ago when I got a completion bonus from a client. 8)
Having a BIG screen really helps in programming as you can see a lot more than those old 13" monitors we used to use more than a decade ago. The multiple workspaces in linux is also VERY handy. I keep Firefox open in its own workspace for quick searches, most of the dev stuff on another workspace as seen in the second snapshot, another instance of Worker open on another workspace for unrelated file managing, and a local network manager on another workspace.

I can only afford a 19" widescreen XD.
Though I'm thinking of getting dual-monitor, for better coding performance. :D

My older brother recently got an ACER 24" LCD (1920x1200 as well) for just a smidgen under $400 shipped. It's really nice. That might be a little rich for some folks, but it's an awesome value if you can swing the cash. :)

I got a Samsung SyncMaster 941 BW 19" LCD (1440X900)
I think I rember paying only $175 USD through NewEgg
The MagicBright settings are really cool as it illuminates a dark room even 25 FT. away. From what I have seen Samsung is really good brand LCD thats very bright and high contrast ratio.
When I have the money I really need to upgrade as most video cards now have HDMI, so might as well buy a really big LCD and use it for monitor/TV.
Now's a good time to build that media center PC as well

I have a Samsung 22" 220 WM here. Spent around $250 on it, which isn't too bad. The colors on it look soo much more vibrant than the old Dell 17" LCD I had.

I've got a Spectre 17" LCD you can use as a spot light. Seriously, the brightness goes from 0 to 100, and I keep it firmly at 4.

The factory default was 50. I was like "GOD DAMN!!! Where's my sunglasses?!?!?" I couldn't hardly look in the direction of monitor, much less use the onscreen controls to turn down the brightness. I really did have to wear my sunglasses to do that.

Just up it to imageshack then cut-n-paste the forum code they give you. It's easy! 8)
