my sis has a ds lite and have just been looking around on the net at things to buy to open it to play all games etc.
having had a look at the threads in this forum...it seems the R4 and the M3 simply are not being updated. also it seems cycloDS (expensive!) or M3 real maybe one of the better ones to get.
but then there are so many others :confused1:
like n5ds, itouch ds, ds xtreme (although this particular one seems a bit expensive), EDGE supercard, 'DSTT NDSTT' and probably many others!
can you guys help me decide which is best to get?
thank you in advance.

R4 is (in my opinion) the best choice, but the NDSTT is the next best thing, cheap too
Note that, NDSTT being cheaper is made of cheaper parts which won't last that long!

Just FYI, M3 = R4

*M3 Simply = R4 but with ONE different circuit which makes the R4 firmware patchable for the M3 simply and vice versa
fix'd =D

R4 and M3 Simply no longer seems to update their fw. Some newer games will not work without using the arm7 method. Not sure if the arm7 method will work for the obsolete R4 and M3 Simply indefinitely into the future. Both R4 and M3 Simply also do not support SDHC.
DSTT is a popular carts but lately there were complaints on fakes in the market. The official DSTT chinese website has even put up warning that new fw running on fakes can potentially burn the cart/TF/console or all of them ! So should avoid DSTT for good.
CycloDS is the BMW, many good reviews but most expensive .....
Supercard DSOne is probably one of the longest standing brand around. Mid range price, regular fw updates, I would think is a good buy. The cart is language specific.
Acekard2, Edge, EZ Flash V are the newer and cheaper range carts that could do the job, with regular fw updates too, with muti-lingual support.
I will choose SC DSOne if I more $ to spend, otherwise I will go for Acekard2 or Edge. :smile:

I'd also recommend the 'Acekard 2' or the 'EDGE'.
Google these cards for reviews and more info.
