I never did. but I wouldn't mind trying it, I kind of like the idea of watching your local TV where ever you have a wifi network. The biggest problem I have with it, is it's cost.

I didnt know what it was till i researched for the guy who asked,,, and the simple fact you gotta buy a base for it .... id rather buy an hd tv card.
im not a big fan of buying things that ONLY service one item... ie psp. where as the hd tv card is probably cheeper and provides more versatile functionality.

Soo true. That's another thing that I will not try it for. The fact that is service's nothing more than the PSP.

just checked the sony site and the base station is sold at £229 ....so yea,im not gunna be getting it...but i suppose its aimed at the same audience as the ps3 and the playstation network is aimed at....the people who want the tech but don't have the know-how to get it for less....

I tried watching a movie on my PSP and had to switch it of after like 10 minutes because not only was it hard to look at but the sound was to quiet , even at MAX:p

I use it more from my laptop when traveling... It's basically the same thing as the SlingBox. The Slingbox is better, but no PSP support. There are times when I'm on campus between classes, though, that it's kinda nice to be able to sit down and watch something I recorded. I also use it from time to time to delete stuff from my DVR when I'm out of town... but again, I usually use the laptop, not the PSP...

Well my friend your in luck. You see i spent the lst 4 or 5 days figureing out how to rip dvd's for the psp, and for backups. (technically 3 days getting a headache and 2 working with Chilly to immatate his method)

The crazy thing is the psp actually has a better screen then my dlp tv. Its simply incredible to watch something like thematrix on.

Heres where u start...
pmp player advanced.
it has volume editions to get the psp SHOUTING at you.

The only bummer about making FREE rips of your dvd's is it takes about 4 hours per dvd if you wish to make it watchable. But if your smarter then the average bear,, save the rips and you only need to do it once. at 600 mb per dvd theyre not hard to store


Not entirely a bad deal considering you dont need to do much to make it work during the 4 hours. I would go futher into it but as i said, i dont consider my self "dumb" and it still took me 2 days to learn. Instead im seeing about adding a ripper to msm. But if you have a few days to spare let me know i can try to walk you threw once.

i tried to use it once using a hotels T1 wireless in Hawaii but i have a japanese PSP and all of the font was japanese so i screwed it... lol

Download speeds were good though... lol
