Steam recently changed the default privacy settings for all users. This may impact tracking. Ensure your profile has the correct settings by following the guide on our forums.
You could make attachments out of current print materials but something like the receiver will always break after a few shots. It's those parts that are restricted under current law.
As for whether you should be able to print these things... I can't think of a way to prevent these specifically...

I don't have a Nexus 7 but I do have an HP Touchpad and it works great for web-browsing. A Nexus 7 would only be better.
You probably would want to carry it in a backpack though. I've held one and walking around with that in my pocket wouldn't be comfortable.
I'm curious what money sinks there will be. I'm hoping for property customization, but I remember reading somewhere that you'll just have access to predefined houses.

I doubt consoles will completely disappear though. They're turning into media centers currently and that works great for people.
