Due to lending my psp to friends for the past year or so, I've left the homebrew scene for that duration of time, so now I'm in a time-lag. I'd appreciate it if someone can brief me on wats new in the homebrew scene, and whats some new recommended useful common-use homebrew in development now...
Let's see... The best sticks for the PSP right now would be those Sandisk Extreme III Memory Sticks, or Sandisk Ultra II. The first one is a tiny bit faster than the second, but both are the fastest sticks currently available on the market. They're both obtainable on buy.com at around $55 to $80...
I highly doubt It'd make a difference if you bought a new psp and made the 3.80(yes the new slimline models coming off the shelves are now embedded with 3.80 instead of 3.60). 3.80 OFW or 4.01 OFW doesn't make a difference. They both require a Pandora battery and a "magic" stick to install CFW...
The only thing I'm wondering about is how flexible the save states can become.(In a lot of the emulator's savestates you can load a savestate of a Game from a diffrent region code and be able to make a game save for another diffrent region code: aka. Game Save regional transfer technique).
Obviously enough the Japanese and whoever else got it(off the internet) would be furious at this news. As far as the announcement indicates, you can expect well over 200,000 of these units to be shipped to Europe and sold.
