Looking for Game\Homebrew Organizer

Hi. Thanks for all the help you guys give.

My latest desire is now to organize all of my psp games and homebrew apps. Right now they are all in this very long list in the games menu.

Is there a solution to getting things in a folder view, instead of this long single file view?

yes there is, i cant remember the name though, january39 is good with stuff, wait for him to reply ::p

told ya january39 is the guy for this!!!
spot on, just what i was thinking of but i couldnt remember the name :D

Well friends, I screwed it up. I have a 3000 and I forgot to mention it. I do have a 2k also, but I won't have it much longer. The 3k is main concern.

I'm experimenting with game categories since it sounds closest to what I want. Xplora was interesting, but inefficient for my purposes.

I also have my hopes up for iR Shell, if game_categories is incompatible with 5.03 M33 or GEN-A.

Game catergories works well on 5.00M33, i have used it.

You will have to check with Gen-a, although i can see no reason why not - im sure i read something at MforMature about bubbletune updating it for gen-a. Need to check.

The readme stated that it works under gen-a, not necessarily genforhen, which I have yet to try.

Concerning 5.03 M33, I had no success loading it. Went to the M33 recovery menu, plugins and no vsh.

File structure:
ms0:/seplugins/*.*
-game_categories.prx
-VSH.TXT (cotents below)
Code:
ms0:/seplugins/game_categories.prx 1
I've never used a plugin which means I could be doing something wrong. But I followed the directions (limited as they were) the best I could.

The prx goes into the seplugins folder and then try it in GAME.txt can have that text copied pasted in -

ms0:/seplugins/game_categories.prx 1

Might not be compatible with the 3000 - I check and post back for you.

well, upper case game.txt and vsh.txt and never worked on my psp, try having it lower case and losing the 1.

then go into the recovery menu, enable it, disable it and the reboot, then finally enable it, it should then have the 1 there as it has converted the plugin.

that always works for my psp as the conventional method dont work for me, my psp is unique. lol

Update. I went ahead and created folders with the 'cat_' prefix. After entering and exiting the M33 service mode the categories finally appeared.

I like the vshmenu style :)

Thanks january39 and everybody else.

No problem, it is a great plugin
