Although the ultra portable PSPgo has received mixed reactions in the enthusiast press, it appears that the handheld is becoming a hot item at retail, if early launch sales are any indication. According to SCEA corporate communications director Patrick Seybold, the go has managed to spark interest in the platform as a whole, netting a 300 percent increase in overall sales within a span of three days.[blockquote2]The launch of PSP Go has generated strong consumer interest in the overall PSP platform and the PlayStation Network's digital content offering.[/blockquote2]Offering more insight on PSN momentum, Seybold noted that PSN transactions also saw a considerable boost during the same timeframe, with sales of digital offerings up 200 percent. While we'd still like to see hard sales figures, it sounds like the PSPgo is off to a steady start, which points towards a bright future for digital distribution in the portable space.

It shows you the mentality of people, who think they are buying something different, wake up people, its exactly the same as any other PSP, but without a UMD drive and has larger internal flash memory, you people are going to regret it, as remember there are 2nd hand UMD games & films available in games shops, but you will not be able to buy any of them, also another thing they don't tell you customers is when the battery dies on you, like the phone batteries do, there's no way of replacing it, because as soon as you open it, you lose your warranty, think about it.
Your better off getting a PSP 3000 model with the larger screen.
I have the original PSP 1003 model and i am still happy using that.

mayan, that is a sexy psp, i might buy one with a 3k, something to collect, i got a 1k and 2k then 3k soon and a Go! :)

Obviously this is for those who actually want to get the PSP Go for it's main feature, which is it's lighter weight and crispier screen. Usually the one's who are interested in buying this are PSP veterans, possibly because of the exploit from last week.

You know.. I was totally against this, I thought it was Sony trying to make another quick buck. Even though it's true, Sony is making a pretty good bundle off this, and combating piracy all in one swoop, I had to stop and realize how pretty awesome the PSPgo is...

It's so small and slim, unlike all previous standard models, that its actually incredibly practical for movies and musics etc, ALL GAMING ASIDE.

Before, if I pulled out my bulky PSP in public to JUST listen to music or something, it looked kinda awkward. It was just so big and unpractical, I was better off just buying an iPod.

But now, I can whip this tiny thing out, listen to music, watch a movie, and play games, in such a casual, un-awkward looking manor, it's just so awesome..

This would be PERFECT if Sony somehow secured a method of giving current UMD owners a way to obtain a digital copy of the games previous purchased, without being abused. I do wish Sony would support Homebrew.. Right now I'm at the mercy of the exploitatious and ingenuitic minds of the PSP hacking scene.

Overall, its size is the big selling point, it's like an incredible high end gaming cellphone, without the cellphone part. Haha
