Just a "yes or no" question

I have looked around and I 'think' I know but I'm not totally sure so here it goes. Do I NEED a pandora battery to homebrew CFW a slim for my friend if he has upgraded to 6.10?

Yes, you need a Pandora Battery to install cfw.
As for the identifying the motherboard, I didn't think the links were dead, I'll try checking that.

The girl from the left is from Children of Mana, second over I'm not sure but I think he's from King of Fighters....third over I think it a boss character from the Megaman Zero series and lastly, there's Mario xD

You sir are a winner!^.^ I will definitely be playing up those games. Except for KoF cause I got Blazblu. XD

I was slightly [eheh] exaggerating on the links thing.. I did check this guide and dl'ed dark alexes thing but it says its corrupted. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out. My friend NEEDS to experiance cave story. Imo.

Well, we actually do have a downloads section here at exophase @ http://downloads.exophase.com/

I'd recommend actually using Hellcats Recovery Flasher @ http://downloads.exophase.com/521/hellcats-recovery-flasher-160/ since if I remember correctly, you can make a battery a pandora battery from the application.

It depends on your motherboard though. PSP slims with ORIGINAL ta-85s are the only ones that can. PSP3ks cannot. PSPgos cannot do anything. PSP 1ks are all good to go

Correct - The Ta-085 is the only slim that can soft mod a battery to service mode.

How do I check the motherboard? I know its a lame question but I cant figure it out. Its a 2001 series and its silver. Plz help still trying to do this. >.>

Oh wow thx for doin that. It seems to work now. And thx for the guide too its one of the ways I started. I dont go anywhere else unless I need files.

WEll the link now works which I thank you for. My problem now is that I dont know how to use the program to check my motherboard sadly.

I have a psp 2001 with OFW 6.10 and from everything I've read (weeks of reading) there is no way for me to c what motherboard it is, but there is a way to check if its a TA-088v3 or not which is what im trying to do.

So my question is:
How do I use the program to do this, or where should I go....or how fucked am I?
cause I cant use psp ident unless I already have CFW on it. ...
