Speed up games?
Is there any program out there that makes games run faster by like, slowing everything else down or something. Also if anyone has any tips on speeding up gameplay please tell.

hmmm, Try Defragmenting your Hard Drive, then use window's classic theme, without any special FX.
Other than this, you will have to get Dangerous Trial Software to tweak your system, which may lead it unusable

No I just wanted something that could speed up the game so I could play it at regular speed. I can do that now because I defragmented my Harddrive

Other things you can do to help speed up games is to completely close applications such as any messenger, any web browser, any media player, any sidebar (like google desktop), and the like. It should also help speed up games in line with Darkchild's advice.
A program that has proven to speed up my notebook is System Mechanic 7. It's not free, and I don't think there is any trial software. But it keeps nearly all aspects of your computer (performance wise) in optimum speed.

when i ire up CSS i always turn off all the unnecessary programs like MSN,AOL help software and printer stuff....i usually have winamp running and xfire.if going for a clan friendly though i have winamp off and ts on. defragging the hard drive every so often is a very good idea.

Many games compress their data files these days. Depending on the system, it may help to decompress them. For example, many people find Doom3 and Quake 4 run faster and smoother with the files decompressed.
