i love the choice of colors and how well they blend, but i think the white could be toned down a little, seems a bit over powering.

Your brother does a good job. I think it might add more realism if the black areas had more stars but it's really nice.

Not too difficult, but i can see he isn't artistically stupid, so thats a pretty good start for his age. If he keeps at it, he's sure to become really good.

And its good he's not using any premade renders, he should stick to that.

And by not artistically stupid, i mean he doesnt go all out putting useless shit everywhere, but keeps it nice and clean.
