3DS 3DS Sales Explode In Japan Following Price Drop

The recent 3DS price drop has definitely spurred interest in the handheld over in Nintendo's native region. Radio Nikkei is reporting that sales through the second week of August (8-14) hit 207K. That figure tops the number of units sold during the week following launch.

As the price drop went into effect August 11 in Japan, that accounts for three days of sales at the marked down price[...]

3DS price drop is gonna make this Christmas all about the 3DS. Combine the prise drop with the few top titles that are coming starting from next month and I won't be suprised if this will make sure the 3DS will "land on it's feet".
