Ok, I had to spill this out somewhere, what better place then the community in which I spent most time with!

Today I was called a fanboy... Well, to those who don't know, Fanboy (Or fangirl, depends on your sex ;) ) is someone who, indefinitely follows his/her favourite console/brand no matter what.

Well, I admit, I have a PS2, PSP, NDS, AND a Wii. I'm no fanboy. Though I've been called such and trolled as such. Why? Because I Said X Console is best (In this case, the Nintendo Wii).

Let me just get one thing straight internet! I am *TIRED* of watching people waste their life ARGUING because of some stupid piece of plastic and metal that can make you play games! I am *TIRED* of watching friendships come to an end because of such discussions. And I am *TIRED* of PARTICIPATING in those.

There is ONE simple way to finish all this! This arguement is like, "Which linux distro is the best?", its a matter of opinions, and you know what? Even my philosophy teacher said it (And you should all "Stay a while and listen").

Yes you read it right, not all things are argumentable!

My Philosophy teacher also told me, that, in argumentation, there has to be:

  1. An Audience (Interested or with a minimum of knowledge on the subject)
  2. An Oral Speaker or means to transmit the information (informed about the subject or with the 3rd requirement)
  3. And of course, the arguments used to convince these said "Trolls"
I've been browsing, and have seen people starting arguments without having the 3rd requirement (and possibly the second). I could go all day long finding these idiots, but alas I don't want to waste any time.

Now back to the subject of me saying The Wii is the best... I'm not saying its better than the PS3 or the 360... I'm saying its the best FOR ME.
Some people don't get this, but alas, its only natural that men want everyone to follow their opinion, thus flame wars were born. Some people just don't get that, "Graphics don't make the consoles" and instead, I've heard it time and time again...

"Dude, wtf? A wii? its like a PS2 dressed up like a mac!"

Totally agree, but people want value for money. the most a thing can do and for a little as possible. Currently, im typing this on my ps3, and i say its the best console ive ever owned.
Mainly because its a like a gaming pc lol.

btw, hot q for hints and tips for arguments, they seem to be best at it :)

A ps2 dressed up as a mac. LMAO!!!!

i completely agree. Ive been called an apple fanboy but the only product of theirs i own is an iphone. I personally hate macs, but oh well.

Actually fanboys are people who get on your last nerves. And they usually dont know what their talking about
 
I was called a PSP fanboy by an employee in GAME for wanting to know when Dissidia was coming out...ridiculous. Especially considering I play a lot more games on my PC than anything
 
OK I totally agree and on that basis , im not going to mod my self for leaving this questionable reply.

Food for thought:
Opinions ,, are like assholes, Every one has one , and usually just your own smells good.

The moral of the story is the world would be boring if every one agreed with you.

On a side note , I have a rant too. Though a short one.

What is with all of these associations and foundations , To name a few :
USB IF foundation (1500$ a year for a Vid and Pid )
mms association (2500 a year to design or impliment mms host ie mms reader)
sd association (4000 to impliment or design or sell a product with a micro sd reader (or host)

these are all yearly fees, for licensing . Not something some one like me on a meager budget can pick one pay it , and proceed to the next, by the time i pay one it expires. Luckily Microchip licensed me for a Vid/Pid so I can make usb devices. now i know why sony uses their own format, Which brings up a good question, what does a sony license cost.

If your company is planning to manufacture or have manufactured SD host products (eg. cell phones, cameras or computers) or SD ancillary products (eg. adapters or SD I/O cards), your company is required to:

1. Join the SD Card Association and
2. Enter into a Host/Ancillary Product License Agreement (HALA)** with the SD Card Association and the SD-3C, LLC.




1. SD Association Membership Levels
Executive Membership

Executive membership is tailored for companies wanting to participate directly on the board, committees and working groups. This membership level gives companies the ability to influence the direction of the association and specifications. Executive members may serve on the Board of Directors, attend all meetings, vote on all SD Association issues, and receive all association publications.

* Executive Membership is $4,500 (US $) annual fee (Apply Now)

General Membership

General membership is for those companies wanting access to completed SD standards. This level of membership provides an easy option for companies interested in implementing any of the SD technologies into innovative products.

* General Membership is $2,000 (US $) annually (Apply Now)

2. HALA Licensing Documents

The SD-3C, LLC represents the interests of the founding patent holders, Panasonic, SanDisk and Toshiba, while also serving as the licensing authority for all SD technology. R&D
Research and Development Phase

If your company is in the R&D phase and needs access to the SD specifications, a one-year (non-membership) contract is available. Your company is required to:

1. Complete Non-Disclosure Agreement and
2. Provide payment of $1000 USD to SD Association.

If your company becomes a member of the SD Card Association within ninety (90) days of the effective date of the Non-Disclosure Agreement, then the SD Card Association will credit the $1000 USD payment towards your company's membership dues.

911 hosed me out of my education. I am half certified to work on jet engines.
the other half of my course was electronics , leaving me nothing in the end. I am self taught. If your trying to figure out what to goto school for,
BSEE would be a good place to start. What I am doing is actually more jobs then i know the titles for. If your trying to put a name to what you wanna do , pm me
