How can i get the game from the disc to the Hard drive, PS3 is on OFW.

I would prefer to leave the disks in the case and simply play off the hard drive if i can? Is it possible?
 
No, it's not possible without hacking it and being on a CFW.
 
It would be nice to have this as an official feature. I routinely install games on my 360 that are going to get played often to save the DVD drive.
 
Yeah, they give us these huge 160-250gig HDDs or so in our consoles, but we're stuck using 1mb saves on them or maybe some music or movies in special formats. It's annoying that this feature isn't on every console like the xbox.

You forget that we get the privilege of lengthy installs of game data.
