I'd take a look at network traffic. Something like TCPView, provided it hasn't taken measures to hide itself.

Haha, I think it will have to be basic, it was the cheapest netbook, like one of the $300 ones and that was back in April.

And yeah, unfortunately I STILL have'nt got a look at it because she keeps forgetting it haha, but I will try to find it before erasing just to save the hassle.

If it's any sort of a decent RAT (not 100% it is a RAT), then it won't show in the Task Manager. =\
