Coinciding with the release of PSP custom firmware 3.90 M33-3, developer Dark_AleX has updated his Despertar del Cementerio "Universal Unbricker" application to version 5. The unbricker can be used in conjunction with a Pandora battery to restore and install custom firmware on any PSP unit regardless of model or motherboard.

Version 5 features support for installing custom firmware 3.90 M33-3 directly rather than 3.80 M33-5, and includes integration with the Time Machine if it is installed on your memory stick.

My utmost repsect to Dark-Alex for his ingenius work. On the release of the update to 3.90m33rev3 via either patch update or wireless network update, these are successfully tested.

However, with regard to the creation of Pandora Despertar del Cementerio revision 5, I must say it does have very misleading implementation to the steps. After several tries, I affirmed Despertar revision 4.0 of 3.80m33rev5 works perfect with my proficient DOS commands. By allowing MSIPL.BIN at the root.

For the 3.90m33rev3, Dark-Alex has infused with Time-Machine changing MSIPL.BIN to IPL.BIN into TM directory. The main purpose is to work together in hand with Time Machine which nowhere was stated.

By generating the "kd" and "registry" from the pandora 3.90m33rev3, these must be restored to the root with the previous MSIPL.BIN to work without using Time Machine. These has been tested after several tries for the mistakes in the write up.

As what Alex has stated, MSIPL.BIN is the same.

Do note the above and perhaps update everyone concerning the sequence.

Really weird, in that I had version 4 stick, copied the firmwares to root and DC5 to PSP\GAME and had to run it twice to get a working stick. The first go had the PSP boot to XMB with Pandora, rather than DC5 menu. But it's working now! Nice job DA!
