Does Uplay scrap achievements after a while?

Yeah, they got rid of all the old challenges for a lot of games last year, when they launched a new challenges system. It's supposedly a one time thing, so hopefully they don't do it again.
The achievements for those games still exist though, just not the challenges. We can't track the achievements since they are only displayed to the account owner in the Uplay client.
