I wonder what it possibly could have that needs a 680. I doubt it's high SGSSAA or anything like that.
Less aggressive LOD? No LOD? Epic Mega High res texturing and mapping?

They're exaggerating (as always).
For example, I'm running Max Payne 3 at 1080p, high details, DX 10.1 with constant 60fps.
And my PC was built back in '08 (4Gigs of ram, 2x 4850 and a PhenomII X3 720).
