Hi guys ive been trying to do this on and off for a week now with no success. I just want to play my final fantasy 7, 8 and 9 and ive been told they work perfectly on pops version 3.71. Ive found random guides explaining the whole process of how to install pops 3.71 but i always somehow get something wrong in the process.
The first time i attempted this, i did it all correctly but then when i went to load ff7 to put on pops 3.71, it froze when i clicked it.
So then i searched around the inet some more and i found out that i install the wrong version of popsloader.
So today im trying it for like the 6th time with the popsloader for versions 3.80 and 3.90 cfw. the guide im using is the link at the bottom
I installed seplugins saved that folder to my root, then pasted the newpsardumper folder into game. and then the guide tells me to download the firmwareupdate corresponding to the version of pops i want, so i go on the link they give and download the pops 3.71 and it downloads and when its downloaded, sometimes its either called EBOOT or 371.PBP (from the previous times ive attempted this)
The guide tells me that it should say EBOOT.PBP so im confused when it says either EBOOT or 371.PBP so i change the name all the time when its downloaded to EBOOT.PBP
When i put it in the root of my psp, i go to saved games load up the psardumper and then it goes to that black screen where it says press square. I press square and it says it cannot find EBOOT.PBP in root of memory stick.
Thats are far as i go to :S its doing my head it trying to attempt it 5 times
