How to open a path in TextEdit??!??

How the *#& do I open a given path in TextEdit? I don't see ANY WAY to type a path to a file like Users/Torch/Library/......

It's a hidden file doesn't show up in the explorer or whatever it's called. I feel like throwing this thing out the window.

Not sure how to open a path, but this will work too. open TextEdit normally, hit open from the file menu, navigate to where this hidden file is and then hit cmd + shift + period. all hidden files should appear and you should be able to select and open it. hit the same combo again to hide them again.

I figured out the hidden files. I want to paste paths. It's so freaking annoying and a waste of time to navigate.

Use TextMate, so much better for these kinds of scenarios.
