Your battery is broken, but you need to upgrade CFW? So read this...
A small guide how to upgrade CFW WITHOUT battery:
1) Turn off PSP.
2) Remove battery.
3) Plug-in charger.
4) Turn on PSP.
5) Go to game - mem stick.
6) Stand on firmware installer.
7) Hold L+triangle.
[NOPARSE]8)[/NOPARSE] Now holding that combination, run installer.
9) Next it would say Press X to install.
10) Now don't hold L+Triangle.
11) Press X to install.
12) WARNING! Don't plug out charger during installation!
13) Be happy! :thumbup:
