HTPC specs (Mostly graphics)

I've been looking into building a HTPC for a while but I've no idea about the video power I'll require. It'd probably be running Mythbuntu and it won't be doing HD.

I want to know, will integrated graphics be enough? I've no idea about what video chipset to use.

AFAIK there is no practical non-Windows setup that gives GPU acceleration for video.

If you are not doing HD there is NO NEED for a GPU at all. Even an old 3200+ ish can decode sub 720p H264. If you get a 2.4GHz ish Core 2 you can run 1080p.

If you use Media Player Classic Home Cinema you can do 100% H264 decoding on the GPU and apply pixel shaders for sharpening etc, but it will need atleast a 9800GTX or a card equivalent to 128 nvidia shader processors.
