Install GRUB via Windows?

Colm

I had a Ubuntu install, and I had to re-install the windows bootloader due to a virus. As a result I'm no longer able to use the Ubuntu install: is there any way to install GRUB via windows?
I want to do this via windows simply because I'm low on CDs and I don't want to burn a new one just for GRUB, and I can't find the original Ubuntu CD.

I don't know whether you could do it in windows, maybe look up "cygwin", which is basically a linux terminal for windows. Or if you have a memory stick laying around you could make a bootable linux flash drive and do it that way.
