That tech and concept have been around forever and I've yet to see someone implement it in the UI of any device. Believe there was one attempt to integrate it with the UI of an Android device but don't think anything came of it.Cool concept...

The folks at LAAN Labs demonstrated a nifty little hack that can turn 3D data recorded using the Xbox 360 peripheral into a Princess Leia-esque augmented reality image playable on the Apple tablet.
