Have you tried running it as Admin? Running it under a compatibility mode?
Haven't played Dragon Age Origins to give my opinion on it but I know it's single player only.

Looks like it's a general error in regards to the graphics card. Might be able to fix it with a reinstall of the ati drivers.

Using one of the oldest drivers available....
Last time I updated, I screwed up my computer and had to system restore...
I installed the oldest on available (the one in the driver cd), but for some reason (perhaps an update I tried), it's showing catalyst 10.5!!!

Well now what??

Finally, managed to get it working....
Should have tried it earlier though!!!

Edit: Next time I get into this mess with a low graphics game, remind me to try playing the game with a glass of wine ;)

Coding random shit
if your still looking for a decent lan rpg, i'd recommend dungeon siege 2(i don't remember if anyone mentioned this yet), me and my friend picked this up, i feel it's similar to diablo 2, but upgraded graphics, and imo, a longer story, also the pet/companion system is very fun, and makes it much more enjoyable to play through with a party

however, the multiplayer can be a bit lacking for larger groups looking for an rpg(max of 4 players, with no companions, or at best 2 people, with each player controlling 3 companions)

also, from what i can tell, the game is completly moddable, so changing entire campaigns/maps or adding new pets appears to be very possible, although we've yet to explore any of this yet
