True but could he afford an i5 machine on his budget? I've heard i5's aren't the greatest bang for your buck tooI would spend a bit more on a quad core like the i5. The i3 is dual core. While it is will suffice for MW2, you pretty much need a quad to avoid having the CPU be a limiting factor (this especially is true for BC2) and this trend looks to be continuing.

Yeah it's definetly worth the extra money because otherwise, like x3sphere said, the cpu would be a bottleneck for some games (and usually you update the gpu before you update your cpu) so it's good to invest in the quad-core. I built my brother an i3 system on a budget and have been regretting not getting him the i5 (although he doesn't play many games besides WoW so for him it's a perfect system and wasn't too expensive)Thanks guys ill think ill get that
