Ok so ive decided to try built my own PC which ive always wanted to do :D

Heres the case: GALAXY BLACK PC CASE 450 WATT PSU WINDOW +NEON TUBES on eBay (end time 27-Mar-10 12:32:11 GMT)

Motherboard: & Processor: ASUS M3N78-VM MOTHERBOARD & AMD PHENOM 545 CPU BUNDLE on eBay (end time 18-Mar-10 23:01:11 GMT)

RAM: MAJOR 4GB DDR2 PC2 8500 1066MHZ 2GB X 2 DIMM 4 GB AM2 on eBay (end time 14-Mar-10 12:10:23 GMT)

Harddrive: WESTERN DIGITAL 250GB 3.5" PC SATA HARD DRIVE (183077) on eBay (end time 17-Mar-10 09:54:18 GMT)

Graphics card: 1GB nVidia GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB PCI-E Graphics Card on eBay (end time 16-Mar-10 20:15:26 GMT)

Could you guys see if i made any mistakes or some hardwhich which isnt supported by anothet, thanks.

I would spend a bit more on a quad core like the i5. The i3 is dual core. While it is will suffice for MW2, you pretty much need a quad to avoid having the CPU be a limiting factor (this especially is true for BC2) and this trend looks to be continuing.

True but could he afford an i5 machine on his budget? I've heard i5's aren't the greatest bang for your buck too

Yeah it's definetly worth the extra money because otherwise, like x3sphere said, the cpu would be a bottleneck for some games (and usually you update the gpu before you update your cpu) so it's good to invest in the quad-core. I built my brother an i3 system on a budget and have been regretting not getting him the i5 (although he doesn't play many games besides WoW so for him it's a perfect system and wasn't too expensive)
