The whole thing is quite deeply integrated with quantum mechanics and is rather difficult to explain.

I'm no expert but until I learn more I don't believe in randomness right now. I'm sticking with the notion that our existance is an equation that cannot be formulated by someone within the system (us).

As far as living things are concerned we live within the pseudo isolated system of the Earth discarding events before a certain period of time and thus have pseudo free will which is sufficient.

Most mathematical representations of our universe are actually variables, so to say that ever if the universe was quantifiable in an expression there would still be some variation.
