Alright one my friends on xbox live computer not turning on, he was last useing msn on the computer when it turn off. Hes brother turn off the computer two times. The 3rd time turn off by it self.
Is there an way fix this? btw window xp

this is all I know, I can't really do nothing since im not at there house. srry
They just manage log back in to the computer, but now there computer freezes and they gotta restart the computer by turning it off.

when they format what do they need to do? and well they lose anything.
I never tried format anything so what are the steps to do this?

-.- Formatting is wiping the hard drive, so of course they are going to loose stuff. Just tell them to backup anything important.
