Nintendo has revealed that a new Yoshi's Island sequel is headed to the 3DS. While specific launch date details are currently under wraps, this is still great news because, well, because it's Yoshi's Island, dude!

President Satoru Iwata made the announcement during the latest edition of the company's Nintendo Direct video series.
