i just got my ds.. and end up buying r4 DS

questions:
1. is R4DS (NDSL) different from R4(SDHC)...

2. what is moonshell

3. what is itouch your calling (sounds cool) can i install it in my r4DS?

sorry for this noobie questions.. i just got my new DS and i like to learn modding it.. hehee.. tnx... hoping for ur reply's...

and btw.. i got DS lite
R4DS+ 2gig micro SD (sandisk)

yes it is, SDHC means it supports microsd with more than 4GB
The R4 SDHC is just like R4, only, the SDHC is still supported, in other words, the main developers from that cart, still update its firmware adding support to newer games. and like I said, supports microsd cards with more than 4GB =) (Untill 8 If I'm not mistaken)


moonshell is a homebrew used to reproduce media, such as mp3, videos, images, etc..
iTouch is a Cart just like R4, just more modern, uses same type of hardware as the famous M3 DS Real.

Anything from NDS games to homebrew

just a quick tip... use YSMenu for ROM compatibility
and use the original R4 firmware for homebrew compatibility

just a reminder, if you want to play GBA games too, you will need the EZ 3-in-1 SLOT-2 Cart =)

well, for more ROM compatibility, definatelly yes, but for homebrew? I don't think so..

i found this store selling cart for DS.. the cart named EDGE.. is it fake... haha.. its hard to find m3 here at philippines.. eew.. XD

no, edge isn't fake, it actually got a gold rating in GBATEMP

if you have a NORMAL R4, nothing you can do about it, you will have to buy a cart that supports SDHC

all carts use different files,

you should google its website and download the firmware

Moonshell use FAT

I think iDeaS supports that emulation, though I doubt it will work :X

It doesn't work, i keep geeting a error screen saying to try other media or to use autodldidi patch (I've already done, btw)

have you went to the options menu and chose R4 Revolutions as the cart?

ok.. im back..
i got this edge cart and its working perfectly with my 4gb kingston hdsc.. but i cant find where to select the cheats.. but in the settings
/misc there is a menu where you can enable and disable the cheat function..

for the r4.. u can select cheats before you start the game..
