Trigun

That guy, who Records Music.
Been off the net for the last week or so.

Played through Crysis+HRT+Warhead Shaders+CrySteve's New Shaders(with a deleted texture file in the .pak that was causing a bug with the Reflex Sight)+Crysis REALoaded(removed most materials for only certain things like the Nanosuit)+My own custom config+R_useedgeaa=2 (in-game AA too costly/not good enough image quality)+FXAA+30FPS Limit @1080p

Crysis Warhead With all the same minus CrySteve's Shaders.

And
Crysis 2 with a custom config+30fps Limit+Maldo 3.0 HRT @1598x900.

I only took screenshots in Crysis 1 up until about 2/3rds through the game because it became too much of a hassle to keep taking screenshots while sitting on my couch playing with a controller.

And it was distracting me from the games, though Crysis 1 did enough of that on it's own with it's insane game breaking bugs, crazy visual bugs/glitches and crazy/inane AI that can also break the experience.

Warhead was easily the least buggy of the 3, at least in terms of game bugs/visual glitches.

Crysis 2 even with Maldo's fixes still had a bunch of Visual Bugs/glitches and very few minor gameplay bugs.

I'll post more periodically of each game.

Also: Crysis in-game screenshot does have some compression artifacting that makes quality of the screens poorer than they should be.
Steam overlay screens are just about as bad.

I should probably just use Afterburner or FRAPS when I take more (with the hundreds I already have for just the first game hah)

As well, am I the only one that noticed that with Crysis 2 on Ultra the Reflections on most surfaces with Water are NOT actually real time at all?
I mean they reflect light and all that other junk correctly but when you look under the layer of water at the reflection it's most often some random object/area/building that is not even near that location.

An Odd thing.

Looks about right ;p

One thing about Maldo's mod though to be careful is , that he includes his own unlocked/modified Cvars that turn some settings down that improve performance.
I had my Autoexec set for all Sys_spec values to 4 so it overrode his customized _3 values and used the default Ultra values (Unless I had an element customized in the Autoexec. Like Shadowjittering.)

Here's a few I just took.

Good catch, I didn't notice that, explains why my performance actually went up about 5-10 FPS after installing Maldo's mod. Nice screens btw :)

Yeah, I finally figured out how to turn off the hud so that made them look even nicer!(though your higher resolution does look really great too, because there are so many more pixels available for details !)

I believe the command is either hud_Hide 1 or Hide_hud 1. I think it's the first.

>_> Too lazy to check atm! XD

From what i've seen the official pack is great for certain things (like gear , weapons , spells and whatnot) But ignores a lot of stuff.

I'm interested in seeing what all the modders come up with to combine the best of both Official and fan made textures and everything.

Jesus that looks better than I thought it would!

Is that with both the required ingame AA+ingame FXAA?

Yeah, 4xMSAA and FXAA high.

Syndicate:
Okay, gonna give a little descript. About each picture. (in-game AA is disabled and no AA bits are used unless otherwise stated)
These were all taken with my 460 at Stock clocks.(720Mhz Core, stock voltage,1800Mhz Memory)
0XAA
http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/9519/0xaa.png
1X2 SS(note that when any SS modes are used, it causes these weird color issues. This also applies to SGSSAA modes)

8XQ+8XTrSSAA
http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/6718/8xq8xtrssaa.png
8XQ+8XSGSSAA RGBA16(thought maybe bit depth could possibly be why the color issue exists, Also SGSSAA does work for me Bit-less. It looks wonderfully smooth. )
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/8650/8xq8xsgssaargba16.png
8XQ+8XSGSSAA RGBA8
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6098/8xq8xsgssaargba8.png

I'd use RGBA8, but using RGBA8 causes banding in transparent alpha effects like Fog and it removes lens flare
RGBA16
http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/5721/rgba16.png
RGBA8
http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/192/rgba8.png

I still can't figure out why I am getting inverted Colors with SSAA modes :(
Could it be a shader conflict? or..

Transparency Object SGSSAA(TrSSAA) seems to work, but since it doesn't apply to the whole scene it doesn't get rid of all aliasing.
However, I really like FXAA and don't mind that, 4XAA+4XTrSSAA seems to have a good middle ground in performance. So maybe I could just use that with the In-GameFXAA to achieve SGSAA like results.

The Following was all done with AA bit-0x000010C1 , except where noted.(and my 460 was Overclocked too , Max Stock voltage available,900Mhz Core,2100Mhz Memory)

OxAA
http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/2599/0xaaoc.png
4xAA

8xQAA+8xTrSSAA
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2729/8xq8xtrssaaoc.png

These below, were done with no AA bits
4xAA+4xTrSSAA
http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/4904/4xaa4xtrssaaocnobits.png
4xAA+4xTrSSAA+In game FXAA max
http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/5108/4xaa4xtrssaaingamemaxfx.png

And for fun,
In game "XR_FXAA 2" command
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/6195/syndicate20120319002422.png
In game "XR_FXAA 3" command
http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/3461/syndicate20120319002433.png
There is little to no difference with this command. Unless you zoom in a ton(which actually shows "XR_FXAA 3" being more blurry, with little reduction in Aliasing and a substantial Frame rate drop)

My recommendation for any and all wishing to play this game with the best IQ is to use 4xMSAA+4xTrSSAA+In-game max FXAA (you can do without the last if you wish) with no AA bits, unless someone discovers a Bit with better performance.
And also when you start a savefile/game open up the console(Ctrl+Alt+tilde) And type in "XR_LODSCALE -1" This will make every scaleable object always use their HIGHEST LoD model and thus there will be no LoD pop-in.

The performance is great too. I'm getting 60FPS solid at 2560x1600, amazing for a Rockstar title considering how poorly GTA IV and LA Noire ran. You should give it a try, I imagine it'll run well on your setup.
