Sorry for digging up the past!

I have a ps2 slim, which I used swapmagic on, and have the plastic things installed (essentially tape and tissue mod). And I have a copy of san andreas that is scratched beyond belief.

Is there any hard mods I can do (NOT MODCHIP) or softmods that will allow me to run backups without me having to buy another swapmagic?
